This multi-day workshop brings together Pod members, Advisors, and community members who have expressed interest in AI to forge their own imaginaries of the technological worlds they wish to inhabit, entangled in their lands and protocols, conceiving AI as potential kin. In contrast to the hegemonic visions of our technological reality that condemns humans and nonhumans to relations of consumption and exploitation, that treat nature and culture as separate and in contradictory relationship with each other, we invite participants to explore technological processes from grounded perspectives that consider technologies as melted stones, mined from the earth, with humans and nonhumans indigenous to those places whence they come. The workshop is designed to direct the imagination toward figuring new protocols of being-together that intentionally involve such technologies and founding those through a commitment to communities that we are accountable to – human and nonhuman kind alike.
