Concordia University Office of Community Engagement x Abundant Intelligences

In this time of rapid technological change, how can Indigenous communities harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to serve their needs? Can AI be a tool to preserve, protect and transmit Indigenous cultural and artistic practices? Hosted by University of the Streets Café, this public conversation covered how Indigenous creatives & artists are using AI to empower their communities. Featuring Carling Sioui, Wendat landscape architect, and Alicia Charles D’Avalon, Black Taíno researcher and transition designer. Moderated by Lynnsey Chartrand, Indigenous Projects Manager at Mila — Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute and of Red River Métis heritage through her father’s family.
